Analysis of the barycentric interpolation collocation scheme for the Burgers equation

ABSTRACT:     In this paper, we propose the barycentric interpolation collocation method for the Burgers equation. Firstly, Burgers equation is transformed into the heat conduction equation by the Hopf-Cole transformation. Then we use the barycentric interpolation collocation method to discretize the equation in the time and space directions. The collocation scheme of the Burgers equation is constructed and the corresponding linear algebraic equations are derived. Moreover, the consistency analysis of barycentric Lagrange interpolation method is given. Numerical examples validate the efficiency of our scheme.
