PISICIDAL TRITERPENOID SAPONINS OF THE PERICARPS OF SAPINDUS EMARGINATUS

ABSTRACT: Two pisiddal tIiterpenoid saponins, 3-0-[-D-xylopyranosyl-(13)--L-rhamnopyranosyl (1 2)--L-arabinopyranosyI] hederagenin and 3-O-[-L-arabinopyranosyI(13)--L-1rhamnopyranosyl (1 2)--L-arabinopyranosyl] hederagenin, were isolated From the pericarps of Sapindus emarginatus (Sapindaceae).
