s-ELECTRON CURRENTS IN d-BAND SUPERCONDUCTORS*

MONTREE YAMVONGa and I-MING TANG

Summary: Using the Anderson Hamiltonian with an additional term for the electron-phonon coupling between the d-electrons to describe the d-band superconductors, the s-electron current density is calculated by the Green's function method. It is shown that the s-electron current density is proportional to a vector potential and is therefore part of the supercurrent.
